KSP investigating fatal Simpson County crash

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Simpson County on Tuesday.

KSP Post 3 Public Affairs Officer Katan Parker says troopers responded to a single-vehicle fatal collision at the request of the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office. The scene was located at the 1700 block of Kummer Road.

According to KSP’s investigation, a vehicle operated by Jordan Klumpp, 18 of Portland, Tennessee, was traveling on Kummer Road. Klumpp failed to negotiate a right curve and the vehicle exited the roadway.

The front passenger of the vehicle, Alexander Woestman, 19 of Franklin, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Simpson County Coroner’s Office.

Klumpp and a second passenger were transported to the Franklin Medical Center for injury treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
