Warren County schools student population grows
BOWLING GREEN Ky. – Warren County Schools superintendent Rob Clayton gave staff and parents an update Tuesday night as to how things are going district wide.
As part of his state of the district presentation, Clayton highlighted the fact that the student population at the county’s schools is growing rapidly. There has been an increase of over 3,000 students since 2013.
An increase in student population means an increased demand for students’ needs.
The district is also facing challenges, according to Clayton. The district is the second lowest in per pupil funding in the state.
“It really just takes a collaborative effort on behalf of not only district level folks, but our school level folks. We’re confident that we have a long-range plan that we can continue to accommodate this growth, but it does require us to be out in front and planning accordingly,” Clayton said.
Another topic Clayton touched on during the presentation included increased co- curricular and extracurricular activities.
