BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Ascension Saint Thomas is increasing access to care with the opening of Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Bowling Green at Graves Gilbert Clinic, 201 Park St., starting Sept. 5.

According to a release by Ascension Saint Thomas, its nationally recognized cardiac team brings advanced “surgical and minimally invasive options,” which has shortened recovery “for more adult hearts than anyone in Tennessee.”

“We are excited to partner with Ascension Saint Thomas to bring nationally recognized specialty care to Bowling Green,” said Mike D’Eramo, CEO, Graves Gilbert Clinic. “They have been a tremendous organization to collaborate with; their ability to expand Cardiology services is a big step forward for access to specialized care in our community.”

“We are pleased to welcome new cardiology subspecialists to the Graves Gilbert Clinic. This advancement complements and expands the robust care we offer our patients,” said Jerry Roy, MD, interventional cardiologist, Graves Gilbert Clinic. “By bringing electrophysiology and heart failure services closer to home, we are enhancing our ability to provide in-depth, local care for our patients.”

The release says Pickett has more than 21 years of experience and is a “highly skilled, board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist who helps patients with heart rhythm issues such as arrhythmia, atrial tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and syncope.
