Organizations team up to fight poverty

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – HOTEL INC is partnering with charitable organizations to bring Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week to the community.

With the help of the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness, The Affordable Housing Fundraiser Chili Luncheon raised funds for HOTEL INC to help purchase and remodel two homes in 2020 for transitional workforce housing.

The $10 lunch included Wendy’s Chili, dessert from Country Oven, cornbread from Teresa’s, an apple from Jackson’s Orchard and a bottled water.

In just the first 30 minutes of the two-hour fundraiser, nearly half of the meals prepared had already been served.
