KSP sergeant and K-9 receive award from Operation Underground Railroad

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Two members of the Kentucky State Police are being recognized for their efforts.

On Wednesday, KSP announced Sgt. Leslie Strong and K-9 May were given an award by Operation Underground Railroad.

The nonprofit assists law enforcement in the rescue efforts of child human trafficking victims, KSP says.

The agency says Strong and K-9 May earned the award due to their “grit, integrity and perseverance.”
