‘Puppies and Police’ with the Bowling Green Police Department helps increase adoptions

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In hopes of driving up adoptions, the Bowling Green Police Department started a new program and is still going strong two years later.

It’s called “Puppies & Police,” and it’s just another way that BGPD is trying to get involved in the community and help out where they can.

The program runs monthly and has been going on since 2022. The department has reported success from the endeavor, getting several dogs adopted over the months they have been advocating for the adoption of local pups.

Newly appointed community resource officer Amber Kae Bowman said if you’re ever looking for a new family friend, check out the BGPD Facebook page.
