Green County man facing child sexual exploitation charges

SUMMERSVILLE, Ky. – A Green County man is facing child sexual exploitation charges.

The Kentucky State Police announced that its Electronic Crime Branch arrested Jamicah Cane Sears, 26 of Summersville, on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

Troopers say that an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation was conducted following the discovery that Sears was sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

KSP says a search warrant was conducted at a Summersville residence on Thursday. Police seized equipment used to facilitate the crime. The equipment was taken to KSP’s Forensic Laboratory for examination.

Sears is charged with one count of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and one count of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance.

Sears was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
