Past BGHS track and field coach teaches sport to local kids

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – During the summer time, parents are looking for ways to get their children active, and Bowling Green Parks and Recreation was doing just that Tuesday.

Over on the Bowling Green High School track, local kids got some great lessons from some one former high school coach and a current one as well.

Alonzo Webb was the track and field coach for Bowling Green High School in the 1990s and came back to help spread his love for the sport and enjoy physical fitness.

The kids got run the 100-meter sprint, throw shot put, run relays and enjoy other events as well.

While the sun was hot, it sure did not stop the kids from competing to see who is the fastest and can thrown the furthest.
