Edmonton men arrested after allegedly crashing into police cruiser
GLASGOW, Ky. – Two men are facing charges after police say a theft occurred at a Glasgow church.
According to a release by the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded Monday to Oil City Road in Glasgow in reference to a theft at the Canaanland Baptist Church.
Upon arrival, police say they saw two males in a vehicle traveling toward them with no headlights on.
Police say they activated their emergency equipment, but the vehicle continued driving and struck the Glasgow police K-9 cruiser.
The vehicle continued traveling onto Oil City Road before turning onto Veterans Outer Loop, authorities say. Police say the vehicle then crossed over the center line and ran into a ditch.
Both men exited the vehicle and ran before being taken into custody.
No injuries were reported, according to police.
Timothy L. Goad, 67 of Edmonton, was arrested and is charged with theft by unlawful taking all others between $1,000 and $10,000, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to render aid or assistance, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), first-degree wanton endangerment (three counts), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), possession drug paraphernalia, operating motor vehicle under influence substance, first offense.
Roscoe R. Ennis, 52 of Edmonton, was arrested and is charged with theft by unlawful taking all others between $1,000 and $10,000, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third or greater offense (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were transported to the Barren County Detention Center.
The Glasgow Police Department was assisted by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police.
