NEW DETAILS: Men wanted in connection with Christian County shooting apprehended

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – Two wanted men are facing charges after an alleged shooting in Christian County.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says suspects Delrico McKissick and Lamareontez Lewis are now in custody as of Monday evening.

Deputies say on July 4, an adult male was being prepared at a hospital to be flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

During the investigation, deputies say they determined four people were shooting at a residence on Plum Street in Ashwood Village. Deputies say the victim was shot in the back during this time.

Mckissick and Lewis were both identified as suspects in this shooting, deputies say. Two other suspects have already been apprehended, including Jerald Buckner and a juvenile, according to a uniform citation.

McKissick faces charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, complicity to criminal mischief, first offense, complicity to wanton endangerment and complicity to assault, first offense.

Lewis faces charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, complicity to criminal mischief, first offense, and complicity to wanton endangerment.
