Young Professionals program revived by Barren Inc.

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Young Professionals program by Barren Inc. is making a comeback.

The Barren County Chamber, known as Barren Inc., has recently revived a program that was dormant for a couple years and is looking to get younger people involved in the community.

Those age 21 to 40 with a business mindset are encouraged to come out to the first “lunch and learn” to get a better understanding of the program and ease their way into being associated with the chamber.

Barren Inc.’s program director, Erin Hiles, told News 40 that a lot of the community fall in that age demographic, and they want to help them succeed as much as possible while retaining great talent in Barren County.

According to the chamber, focuses for the program will be networking, volunteer opportunities and mentorship.

Hiles said the informational event will take place on July 11 at Willow Oaks from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those interested.
