Metcalfe County Agriculture Tech Workshop today
METCALFE COUNTY – A disaster preparedness, crop scouting, and chemical application workshop will showcase the usefulness of a drone to farmers.
At the Metcalfe County Farmers Market, guests will experience drone demonstrations, lab exercises, and lectures. Admission is free for the class from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Guests will learn how drones are considered helpful to farmer for chemical dispensing and crop scouting. Drone save time, costs, and it will monitor all areas of a farm.
New learners have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and discuss how to implement agricultural technology in their farms. A map clinic is also provided to show historical mapping data and planning for land.
