Traffic delays possible ahead of burial service at Bowling Green cemetery

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A burial service Wednesday may lead to increased traffic around St. Joseph Cemetery and Fairview Cemetery.

According to a social media post by the City of Bowling Green, traffic is expected to increase. In addition. St. Joseph Lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Officials say a burial is scheduled at St. Joseph Cemetery with an expected attendance of 300 visitors. Both Mt. Moriah Cemetery and St. Joseph Cemetery will be closed in preparation, officials say. The city says this will prevent access to those cemeteries by those not attending the service or visiting loved ones.

Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes and proceed with caution during this time.
