The new meaningful mural at Glasgow Police Department

GLASGOW, KY.- The new mural makes the police station more inviting and displays everything that the police department embodies.

Chief Guy Howie Glasgow Police Department describes the look, “it had that 1975, brick look to it, and it was just plain and, it’s been a good home to us, but it needed a facelift.”

The mural artist Casey Page shares his experience. He says, “Glasgow, especially Glasgow. It’s just a special place.”

Keeping the community safe is the top priority for everyone. For law enforcement, this is not only a motivation, it also makes them more comfortable.

Chief Howie says, “They want to be happy when they come to work to a place that, you know, is welcoming and this is their home. They spend as much time here for the next 25 years as they would at their house. ”

The Glasgow Police department is doing more than just slapping paint on the walls, they are uniting the community through art.

Casey also tells us, “They would come to the community and ask for that help. That’s a big deal. You know, so in the fact that it’s just turned out so good, neighbors helping neighbors, we all help each other.”
