News Beginnings Therapeutic Riding facing volunteer shortage

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local nonprofit needs your help.
News Beginnings Therapeutic Riding is facing a volunteer shortage, leading to the cancellation of classes.
The nonprofit provides horseback riding therapy, an equine-assisted form of therapy, for all ages.
For some, this is the only form of therapy that is effective.
“Volunteers are extremely important to our program because without volunteers, individuals won’t be able to participate in the program and for some, this is their only therapy. When you don’t have volunteers, individuals can’t be able to reach their goals that will carry over into their everyday lives,” said Executive & Program Director Michele Vise.
Eligible volunteers must be 14 years of age and up and commit one to two hours per week to the program. No previous experience with horses is required
