UPDATE: Bowling Green man facing additional charges related to child sexual abuse material
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing additional charges in relation to a case involving child sexual abuse material.
According to jail records, Robert Church, 41, of Bowling Green was arrested Tuesday.
Church was previously arrested on April 12 and charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performances by a minor under 12 years old.
In April, police said as part of the investigation, they applied for search warrants of the residence and electronic devices belonging to 41-year-old Robert Matthew Church.
According to a uniform citation, “a large portion of the victims in the material appeared to be under the age of 12.”
Church’s additional charges as of May 4 include promoting a minor under 16 in sex performance, distribution of matter portraying sex performances by a minor under 12, first offense, procurement or promoting of a minor by electronic means and first-degree sexual abuse.
Church remains at the Warren County Detention Center.
