Barren County Schools named National Beta District of Distinction

GLASGOW, Ky. – A local school district is being recognized nationally.
On Wednesday, National Beta named Barren County Schools as a 2023-2024 National District of Distinction.
The award is given to school districts that offer National Beta and induct qualifying students in all eligible grades.
Barren County Schools is one of 64 districts nationally to receive this award.
Superintendent Bo Matthews credits the district’s commitment to student development and the efforts of administrators, sponsors, and members as a driving force behind the school district’s success.
Matthews commented, “Beta Club provides a wealth of opportunities for our students to develop as servant-leaders and team players, and the convention provides a space for our students to shine. We deeply appreciate the time and energy our sponsors invest in making our Beta clubs so successful.”
National Beta provides selected school districts awards to display at district offices and plaques to display at schools.
