Graduation night for Warren County Day Treatment

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Seven students graduated on Monday from the Warren County Day Treatment Program and are ready to start their lives after high school.

The day treatment program is for students who are court-ordered or at risk in some way such as failing grades, truancy or behavioral issues. Students who were enrolled in the alternative school program for various reasons received their diplomas on Monday after completing all credits needed to graduate high school.

News 40 spoke to the program director, Anthony Young, who said he was very excited this evening to see the students he’s overseen finally start to take those next steps into adulthood and change for the better.

The station also spoke to one graduating student, Raughneisha Lewis, who said she was attending school in Radcliff when she ran away her freshman year of school in 2020. Lewis said she had not been enrolled in school until her senior year starting in August 2023. She said she had always been a smart kid and knew that she would need a diploma to reach certain goals in her life and when she needed help, the day treatment program was there for her and she said it’s had an amazing impact on her life.
