Craig Ends Record-Breaking Season at NCAA Regional

EAST LANSING, Mich. – WKU Women’s Golf record-breaking and historic season came to an end Wednesday afternoon as junior Catie Craig concluded her final round at the NCAA Regional hosted by Michigan State.
Craig held steady in the final round of the East Lansing Regional, shooting a 5-over 77 on Wednesday afternoon. She stayed even keel through the round, posting pars on 12 of 18 holes and putting in a birdie on her fifth hole at the par-72, 6,325-yard Forest Akers Golf Course.

Tying for 58th in the field, she ties with her sister, Caroline who plays for the Indiana Women’s Golf Team.

Craig’s final bit of play finishes a historic season by herself and the WKU Women’s Golf Program. The team ended the season with two victories to go with nine top-three finishes in 10 tournaments this year. Craig earned an at-large bid to the regional following her great individual season where she was ranked the 74th ranked golfer in the nation.

Head Coach Adam Gary led the team to its 11th team title this year, which is the most by any Lady Topper Golf head coach in program history.
