Spayed & Aid of Kentucky participates in Kentucky Gives Day

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Tuesday is Kentucky Gives Day, and local organizations are receiving donations from the community for a 24 hour span.

South Central Kentucky is represented by groups such as Habitat for Humanity in Simpson County, The Bridge to Recovery in Bowling Green and the Barren County YMCA.

We spoke to a representative from Spayed & Aid of Logan County, who are also taking donations during this Day of Giving.

They say they’re honored to participate in this special day.

“The quicker we can help serve people… that’s our ultimate goal… we want to be there to help the people that need it the most… and it’s not just the people that need the help. These animals… this is for the better of their health as well,” says co-founder Amanda Castile

Spayed & Aid is looking to get $1,000 in donations on Kentucky Gives Day. If they reach that goal, Castile says there will be an additional donation of $500.

She also says this money is looking to help protect the community from unwanted litters.
