Scottsville man facing drug charges

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is facing drug charges.

Saturday, Allen County deputies conducted a traffic stop on East Locust Avenue near the the intersection of South First Street.

The deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Taylor Shelton, 56 of Scottsville.

The sheriff’s office says that upon search of Shelton, deputies located bags containing methamphetamine and pills in the front of Shelton’s pants.

Taylor was placed in custody and lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.

Taylor is charged with trafficking in controlled substance first degree, first offense – (> or = 2 gms of meth), possession of controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified), failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first offense, and failure to wear seat belt.
