Sundy Best to perform at Green River Catfish Festival

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – Sundy Best is set to perform at the Green River Catfish Festival on July 4.
The Green River Catfish Festival is returning for its 42nd year in Morgantown, Kentucky, where a long list of activities span multiple days at the Butler County Fairgrounds.
The catfish festival officially returns on June 22, with a kick off of a road race and beauty pageants. A tradition since 1981, the festival attracts over 9,000 visitors to Butler County annually.
According to the festival, Sundy Best was formed by two friends since elementary school, Nick Jamerson and Kris Bentley, from Prestonsburg in eastern Kentucky.
Jamerson performs as the lead vocalist and plays guitar, while Bentley is on the cajón drum. Their name references how they pronounce “Sunday best,” their best clothing worn in church, where they began playing music together on Sundays during their senior year in high school.
Sundy Best is sponsored by the Morgantown Tourism Commission.
For $15, the festival says you can access live music by Sundy Best, along with unlimited rides. The show is set to start at 7 p.m., with fireworks to follow.
News 40 will continue to release future details as they become available.
