Reed Sheppard Declares for NBA Draft

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The University of Kentucky basketball program has seen many changes recently, and Thursday afternoon, the team’s star freshman guard made his draft decision.

Reed Sheppard, son of Kentucky basketball legends Jeff and Stacey Sheppard, announced on social media that he is entering the NBA draft and foregoing his college eligibility.
The guard averaged 12.5 points in his 33 games last year and shot over 50 percent as the Wildcats third highest scorer.
Sheppard will now wait for his name to be called by Commissioner Adam Silver on June 26th at the NBA draft in Brooklyn, where he is projected by many to be a lottery pick.
