BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you’ve ever ridden the bus in Bowling Green, you’ve probably come across Mary Ann Jackson, who’s been driving for 36 years.

Jackson retired Friday and News 40 joined her for her last ride, getting some comments from passengers who have all had nothing but good things to say about the driver. Jackson said she will miss driving the bus, saying she shed some tears this morning as she came into work and even more when she was surprised on her break later in the morning as co-workers and family brought in a cake, flowers and balloons.

It was an emotional day for everyone being that she has been around for so long but Jackson said she’s looking forward to cleaning her house, cooking and taking care of her great grandchildren.

Both the passengers that have ridden with her for years and the city’s transportation department said she will be greatly missed.
