UPDATE: United Way Feed The Need shares food donation numbers

SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY – Twelve nonprofits in Warren County contributed to the more than 60,000 nonperishable food donations collected in the region for Kentucky families.

Elizabeth Newbould of United Way of Southern Kentucky shared the news on Tuesday, stating that about a dozen more nonprofits picked up food donations in the outlying counties.

Warren County alone gathered more than 40,000 food items, Newbould stated.

Warren, Butler and Logan counties all saw an increase in donations over the past year.
