Over 1,100 fentanyl pills seized during Hopkinsville drug arrest

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Three people are facing charges after troopers say they found over 1,100 fentanyl pills in an apartment.

On Friday, the Kentucky State Police searched the Woodland Heights Apartment Complex in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

That’s when troopers say they found over 1,000 fentanyl pills, 1 ounce of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia.

KSP then arrested Chermes White, 22, of Hopkinsville, Gary Barker, 30, of Hopkinsville and Anthony White, 27, of Russellville, Kentucky.

White faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than 10 grams carfentanil/fentanyl derivatives), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than 4 grams of cocaine), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Barker faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than 10 grams carfentanil/fentanyl derivatives), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than 4 grams of cocaine), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

White faces charges of trafficking controlled substance, first offense (fentanyl), trafficking controlled substance, first offense (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives), operating a motor vehicle under the influence (controlled substance), first offense, and no registration.

All three were transported to the Christian County Detention Center.
