UPDATE: Missing child from Murfreesboro found safe, mother in custody

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Authorities say a missing Rutherford County child has been found safe.

After an Amber Alert and increased concern about her safety, Iris Crum, 7, was found in Texas, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities say her non-custodial mother, Khaila Czereda, is now in custody. She currently faces felony child abduction offenses.

The Amber Alert for Crum was originally issued last week after she was last seen on March 1.
