Man arrested on warrant in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Allen County deputies arrested a man Wednesday on several charges.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says it located a male subject around 8 a.m., identified as Randy Williams, 35. Deputies say Williams was wanted on a warrant and standing in the doorway of a vehicle near Cambridge Apartments on East Poplar Street.

Williams was placed in handcuffs. Deputies say they located a clear plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine in Williams’ possession and a handgun in the vehicle.

Williams faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine) and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, as well as charges on the indictment warrant, including first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and persistent felony offender.

Williams was taken to the Allen County Detention Center.
