Mega Millions jackpot hits $650 million for Tuesday night drawing

(CNN) – The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday night’s drawing has grown to an estimated $650 million with a $308.6 million cash option.

The jackpot has been growing since it was last won on Dec. 8, when there were two winning tickets in California.

If there’s a winner Tuesday, it will be the seventh largest Mega Millions prize ever awarded.

The largest-ever jackpot was more than $1.6 billion won on a single ticket in Florida in August 2023.
