GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is facing charges related to theft and illegal drug possession, authorities say.

In a uniform citation, the Glasgow Police Department says it responded to Rural King on Sunday.

Deputies say they identified Dusty Smith, 29, as a suspect on video taking items from the store without paying.

Later, deputies say they saw Smith walking on McKenna Street, where he was arrested and searched. Authorities say Smith handed them a baggie of suspected methamphetamine.

Smith faces charges of third-degree burglary and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third or greater offense (methamphetamine).

He was transported to the Barren County Detention Center.
