Russellville Innovation Academy coming this fall

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – The Russellville Independent School District is launching a new approach to learning and are excited to get underway.
They have to make some renovations to the multi-purpose district building first but they are already ready to open up applications for students and teachers to be a part of the new Russellville Innovation Academy that will be offering students more opportunities to have some extra say over their education.
News 40 was told that it will largely be project based, giving kids more autonomy over their learning process as they continue to find ways to keep kids engaged at school. They’ll be working with students, parents and guidance counselors to develop personalized education for each student involved.
At 5:30 p.m. at Russellville High School on March 7th and 14th, the district will hold meetings to further explain to the families of the district this new idea and they can evaluate for themselves if this would be a good move for students to make.
