Kentucky State Police searching for escaped Madison County inmate

RICHMOND, Ky. – Law enforcement is seeking an escaped inmate out of Madison County.
The Kentucky State Police says James D. Jackson, 43, of Albany, Kentucky walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center shortly before noon Monday.
Troopers say Jackson is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 181 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hat, brown long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and work boots.
Jackson was serving a sentence for first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Anyone who may have information on his location is asked to call local law enforcement or KSP Post 7 at 859-623-2404.
The investigation is ongoing.
