Hart County Schools sends out notice about bedbug concern in classroom

HART COUNTY, Ky. – Parents in Hart County received a letter from school officials warning them that bedbugs may have been found in their child’s class.

We spoke with the assistant superintendent of Hart County Schools, Burke Chenoweth. He says one or two bedbugs may have been found in one classroom at Cub Run Elementary School.

A notice was sent home with every student in that classroom.

The class and the school will be fumigated to get rid of the pests. They say they are taking every precaution to make sure the room is clean and safe before any students are welcomed back in the classroom.
