Man charged after reported stabbing in Hart County

HART COUNTY, Ky. – A man is facing charges after a person was stabbed in Hart County on Sunday evening.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Department says it responded to the 10,000 block of North Jackson Highway for a male with a stab wound from a domestic incident. At the scene, deputies say they located a male neighbor with multiple knife wounds to his arms, hands and torso.

His current condition has not been released at this time.

Deputies say they identified the suspect as Brian Trumble, 30, of Magnolia, Kentucky, who had fled from the scene and was located several days later while driving in Hart County.

Trumble was arrested on Tuesday and taken to the Hart County Detention Center.

He faces charges of first-degree and fourth-degree assault.

The investigation is ongoing.
