Edmonson County Water District lifts boil water notice

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – The Edmonson County Water District says it has lifted its boil water notice that was issued on Jan. 26.
The district stated the notice affected all customers off the Wax Water Treatment Plant, beginning in Grayson County at the intersection of Highway 259 and Vanmeter School Road, including all of the Peonia and Wax area, as well as in Hart County beginning at the Edmonson and Hart County line on Gap Hill Road and beginning at 569 Cherry Springs Road, including all customers from those points including Cub Run, Big Windy, Kessinger, Priceville, and Raider Hollow.
The samples that were taken were negative and the water has been deemed safe by the Kentucky Division of Water. Any questions may be asked at the Edmonson County Water District office at 270-597-2165.
