BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Volleyball announced the addition of transfer L/DS Madyson Chitty today. Chitty will join the Hilltoppers after a four-year, standout career at Rutgers where she will graduate this semester with a degree in sport management.

“Madyson is a four-year starter and proven player in the best volleyball conference in the country and should impact us immediately,” head coach Travis Hudson said. “More importantly, as we spent time getting to know her, she is an awesome young woman and will fit our culture perfectly. We are excited to have her on The Hill!”

Chitty, a native of Lewis Center, Ohio and graduate of Olentangy High School, will have one year of eligibility to play at WKU.

During her Rutgers career, she played in 401 career sets, seventh-most in program history. She finished fourth in career digs with 1,294 and fourth in Rally Era digs per set, averaging 3.23 for her career. She led Rutgers in digs, and digs per set, in all four years during her career. She also totaled 58 services aces over four seasons.

As a senior in 2023, Chitty played in 115 sets, with her 77 sets during Big Ten play marking the most in the conference. During her first two years – the spring and fall 2021 seasons – Chitty played in 176 sets with 575 digs combined. She played in all 49 matches during that calendar year and totaled 107 assists.

Chitty earned numerous academic and sportsmanship honors throughout her career, in Piscataway, too.

Prior to Rutgers, she was a 2019 AAU National Champion and recorded over 2,050 digs and 1600 service receptions during her career at Olentangy High School. She was named 2019 Conference Player of the Year and All-Ohio Honorable Mention.
