UPDATE: 1 in critical condition, 1 seriously injured after crash near Greenwood High School

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Police have released an update regarding those impacted by a weekend wreck in front of Greenwood High School.

Bowling Green Police Department public information officer Ronnie Ward confirmed Monday afternoon that one child is in critical condition while another is facing serious injuries.

Ward says a vehicle containing one person struck the back of a car containing an adult and two children at the intersection of Scottsville Road and Cypress Wood Lane.

The driver of the single-occupied vehicle is still in the hospital and that driver’s condition is unknown, Ward says, while the driver of the vehicle containing three people did not sustain serious injuries.

Ward says police expect charges for the driver of the single-occupied vehicle.
