Active shooter training seminar available for businesses

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce will be offering an active shooter training seminar on Jan. 30 at 8:30 a.m.

The training is aimed at giving local businesses tools to develop a plan of action for their employees to use if they are affected by an active shooter situation.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower says he wants local businesses to be prepared for the worst.

“The idea is to always plan and prepare. Talk to your employees, come up with some plans and put things in place in that way that everybody I think one is it reduces the anxiety amongst your your office staff and your employers and employees If they have a plan in place and they talk about it,” Hightower said.
