Sen. Rand Paul presents medals and awards to family of Kentucky veteran

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Sen. Rand Paul visited Bowling Green Monday morning to deliver previously stolen medals and awards to a Kentucky veteran’s family.
According to a release, Paul gathered with the family of Master Sergeant Edward Hawk at American Legion off of Dishman Lane.
During the event, Paul presented a Bronze Star Medal, along with other medals and awards, to Hawk’s wife, Amy Hawk, and four of their children.
The release states Hawk served in the U.S. Army from 1989 to 2011 and was a member of the VFW Post 696. Hawk died in December 2021.
