Man charged with burglary in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A man is facing burglary charges in connection to a Scottsville residence.

The Scottsville Police Department says it received a call about a person that was illegally inside of a residence Wednesday evening around 4:40 p.m.

Police responded to the 800 block of Old East Main Street, where they say they spoke to Zachary Shehan, 33. Police say the home and contents inside of it appeared to be damaged.

Shehan told officers he had been staying inside of the residence, police say.

Through investigation, police say they learned that total of property damage and stolen items amounted to $15,000 to $20,000.

Shehan was arrested and taken to the Allen County Detention Center.

He faces a charge of second-degree burglary.
