Kentucky State Police investigating fatal motorcycle crash in McCreary County

WHITLEY CITY, Ky. – A McCreary County man is dead following a fatal wreck Sunday, officials say.

The Kentucky State Police says it responded for a a single-vehicle fatal collision that happened just after 2:40 p.m. Sunday on KY 92 and Pleasant Run Church Hill Road in McCreary County.

Authorities say they found a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Michael Kidd, 33, of Stearns, Kentucky was traveling eastbound on KY 92. Kidd’s motorcycle then left the right side of the road and struck a guard rail, causing Kidd to be ejected, authorities say.

Kidd was transported by McCreary County EMS to Big South Fork Hospital in Tennessee, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
