Congressman Brett Guthrie reacts to ongoing search for new House Speaker

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Congressman Brett Guthrie shared a statement regarding the current situation in Washington as Republicans are working to find a new House Speaker.

Guthrie said Tuesday, “They think all of us are incapable, it reflects we’re not governing.”

He continued, “I think it’s, you know, here are people defending this process is going to bring out a new speaker and make us work better, and it just shows that we’re not functioning as a majority and when you lose that usability to govern, and that’s what we need to do.”

More than 20 days have passed without a clear answer about who will take on the role. It still remains to be seen who Republicans will vote for next to lead the House.
