Fundraisers started for Simpson County chief deputy Brad Harper

SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. – A Simpson County deputy is still recovering after being injured in a shooting on Saturday, Oct. 7 in Allen County.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office says fundraisers are now set up to help chief deputy Brad Harper and his family.

Officials confirm Harper was shot while trying to arrest an individual in connection with attempted murder.

The incident took place following a pursuit from Simpson County into Allen County before ending on New Buck Creek Road.

On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office shared on social media how the community can help.
