2 dead after multi-vehicle collision in Simpson County

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Two people have died following a collision over the weekend in Simpson County.
The Kentucky State Police says it received a call Saturday night around 11:48 p.m. in reference to a fatal collision.
Troopers responded to the scene near the 6300 block of Bowling Green Road in Simpson County.
Authorities say they learned through a preliminary investigation that a GMC pickup truck operated by a driver that has not yet been identified was traveling southbound on Bowling Green Road when the truck crossed into the oncoming lane. At this time, authorities say a 17-year-old was driving a Mazda passenger car in the northbound lane when the GMC truck caused a collision.
Following this, troopers say the GMC continued before striking a third vehicle driven by Miracle Grana, 25, of Bowling Green.
The driver of the GMC and the 17-year-old were pronounced dead at the scene by the Simpson County coroner.
Miracle Grana and and passenger Katrine McCathron were transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
