Officer Matt Davis could be released from hospital soon, medical team says

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department has provided an update on officer Matt Davis.

The department said Friday that Davis has continued to make progress, and his medical team believes he may be released from the hospital soon.

Davis, an officer with BGPD, was injured in a shooting on July 6. Since then, Davis has undergone multiple surgeries, as well as physical therapy.

The department says it will release further updates closer to Davis’ release.
