UPDATE: 2 drivers flown to hospital after collision at Barren County intersection

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Barren County Sheriff’s Office has released further details surrounding a collision that sent two drivers to the hospital Wednesday.

The BCSO says the collision took place at the intersection of North Jackson Highway and Hiseville Road.

Authorities say they later learned a 2021 Nissan Rogue and was pulling off of Hiseville Road into the intersection of North Jackson Highway to make a left turn while a 2018 Kia Optima traveled northbound on North Jackson Highway.

This is when authorities say the driver of the Nissan did not see the Kia as she made the left turn, and the two collided at the intersection.

Both drivers were flown from the scene. On Friday morning, authorities said both patients were listed in stable condition.
