UPDATE: BCSO responds to injury collision, 2 flown to hospital

BON AYR, Ky. – The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday night to an injury collision at the intersection of New Bowling Green Road and Highway 255 in Bon Ayr, Kentucky.

BCSO public information officer Mike Houchens confirmed the collision involved a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.

Authorities say a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound when a 2016 Honda Civic pulled southbound from Highway 255 into the intersection and into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the vehicle, authorities say.

On Thursday night, the road in the area remained shut down for at least one or two hours.

Houchens says two people were flown out. The condition of the two patients is unknown at this time.
