Scottsville man arrested on drug possession charges

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man has been arrested after police say he possessed illegal drugs.
On Friday, Scottsville police say they received a call about a suspicious vehicle near Green Valley Apartments with two males possessing a firearm.
Police say they made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Colin Slaymaker, 25, of Scottsville.
According to police, both occupants said they did not have a gun and gave permission to search them and the vehicle.
Police say they located two small baggies of 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, suboxone, scales and a glass pipe on Slaymaker, as well as a check for $876.86 that belonged to another person.
Slaymaker faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third or greater offense (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree criminal possession of a forged document (identity theft) and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Slaymaker remains in the Allen County Detention Center.
