Free rabies vaccination clinic this Saturday
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-This Saturday, the City of Bowling Green’s Animal Protection division is hosting a free rabies vaccination clinic at Pedigo Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m..
All animal temperaments are welcome, they just ask that you bring dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier.
Animals must be over four months of age.
Staff realized that some populations weren’t able to get to a vet because of transportation.
“Instead of making folks go get those vaccinations we’ll bring the vaccinations to them. The idea behind all the locations of the different clinics is it’s either places that folks are able to walk to because they’re located in city parks, or they’re able to get in and out of the vehicles.”
State and local law says animals over four months of age must be vaccinated.
There will be three more free clinics over the summer if you miss this one.
There will also be Spanish interpreters on site if translation is needed.
