Changes are coming to Allen County’s Fred Hale Ball Park
ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – The Judge-Executive’s office is trudging ahead in their plans to update the Fred Hale Ball Park.
With 4.1 million dollars in ARPA funds, the county has decided to use the money to invest in the recreational space of the community. It’s a two phase project with the end result being a multitude of things.
It’s an exciting thing for Allen county and Judge-Executive Dennis Harper is very happy to be moving forward with a plan that has been talked about since he got in office around 5 years ago. Not only will it be a great social investment for the community but there’s some potential economic impact as well.
With new baseball fields, that attracts travel baseball teams. Admission can be charged and with more teams means of course, more admission. Not to mention with more people in town for the weekend, that means more money spent in the community.
Harper says its a win-win for Allen county and phase one of two should be completed around the summer of 2024.
